I've been fishing with Phil on his various boats for for over 35 years and during that time have had some great days both in the winter and summer with bass, smoothound, rays, eels, cod  mackerel, whiting, sole and dabs to name a few, always plenty of laughs and he is as enthusiastic today as he was all those years ago!

I chartered Braveheart for my two sons and 3 grandsons for a days fishing in the summer, and although we all had limited experience with sea fishing, Phil was very patient explaining the tackle, tactics and bait and making the whole day's experience a very memorable one. The fishing on the day was unbelievable as was the weather, perhaps it was beginners luck but we have already booked 3 more trips throughout the spring and summer. great family day out.

I booked Braveheart as the guys at work had been pestering me to go sea fishing. Phil was recommended by a family friend who had been fishing with him for years and it did not disappoint. Initially the fishing was slow but steady but after a couple of moves we found the motherload and we all filled our cool boxes in no time at all. 10/10 highly recommended.

Although my friends and I have been sea fishing for years with the same 3 skippers on the east and south coast , we all wanted a change and try a couple of new boats. Braveheart skippered by Phil browning, We were all made to feel very welcome and the kettle was always hot. The fishing on this particular day proved challenging but perseverance definitely payed off and Phil stayed out an another hour with no extra charge . We have already re booked the boat once a month throughout the summer.

I booked Braveheart for a family day out with my wife and our teenage son and daughter, after speaking with Phil on the phone. All tackle and bait were supplied and we were shown how to bait our hooks and use the equipment. We caught skate and dogfish and some small bass 2 of which were big enough to keep including a whopper of 8lb !

On the way back Phil took us to a sandbank to see the seals, which was the icing on top of the cake especially with the great weather. We found Phil to be patient, professional and could not do enough to help us catch fish and enjoy the day, and took some great photos which he sent to me the following day.
We will definitely book another day in the future.

I hired the whole boat for myself and two mates and had the boast to ourselves. That was in May, as we were told this was the best time for smoothounds.

The first fish I caught weighed in at 21lb which beat my personal best by nearly 10lb and went like a train . I am going to try my hardest to beat that this summer.

Q. What happens if the fishing trip is cancelled?

A. Trips only usually get cancelled by the skipper due to bad weather. If he has to cancel he will discuss  another date for

you but if you cannot find a suitable date he will refund you.

Q. What to do next...

A. Choose a date then give the skipper a call a text or send

an email. A deposit will be required to officially confirm your

date. If no deposit is received then that date will become available to other clients.

Remember that the total number in a

fishing party is 6.
